man I loved me some GI Joe growing up - had so many of the toys - i wish i still had them - they would be worth something now - same with all the transformers I had - I had the original megatron that turned into the pistol

Additionally, losing Chris Latta to a fatal aneurysm was a huge blow to the VO community.

This was the crown jewel of my collection:

It was a long shot when I asked my grandmother to buy it, especially with there being 15+ grandkids in the fold at the time. Thankfully, we were alone on that shopping trip and I was one of her two favorites.

I had that big aircraft carrier. Dad got it for Christmas put it all together near the tree. I got up and couldn’t believe it.

Then proud daddy realized he couldn’t make the turn in the hallway to get it to my room hahaha. Had to take it apart and put it together again.

Damn thing was awesome

I still have the train set. They collaborated with Tyco on it.

Also had the jet. This thing was huge on its own, and actually FIT onto the USS FLAGG aircraft carrier.

Not my pic below.... here it is on the 7.5' carrier .

Also had this guy with his sub.

And my two favorite action figures, Snake Eyes and Law & Order.

my biggest piece from GI Joe was the mobile command center. I always wanted the aircraft carrier, but I wasn't a certified OT baller in the 80s unfortunately

good times

the joes vehicles and sets were awesome....but by the time I came up the figures themselves had to sit on the action figure wars sideline, they were too small to hang
