Emmy Rossum or Sarah Brightman?

Those familiar with The Phantom of the Opera, which actress do you like better in the role of Christine Daae? Personally, I liked Rossum's voice better.

Brightman clearly has the stronger more opera-level voice but I prefer the quality of Rossum's weaker voice. I also preferred Rossum's acting performance.

I think Brightman has the better voice, and the part was written specifically for her (she was dating ALW at the time he wrote the musical) so her voice fits it best.
It isn't an easy part to sing - most if not all of the touring shows have two females to play Christine and they alternate weeks because of the strain it puts on the voice.
