Do people really watch this show and not realize how staged and contrived it is? I find it entertaining, but it is quite obviously scripted. It seems like no one recognizes this.

Every show on tv is staged and contrived, i think everyone knows it's staged, but at least their personalities are entertaining. Better than all the pawn shop, storage auction, tow truck shows.

You underestimate the stupidity of the average American. I've only watched it twice and thought it was quite obvious that it was staged. I hate reality tv but it's becoming harder and harder to find anything to watch that isn't.

It's really staged. It's so obvious when producers try to make people who can't act, act. All one has to see was when Willie woke up Si when he was sleeping at work.

Yeah, it's like Pawn Stars for me. I like the idea and whatnot, but the over the top fakeness just turns me off to it.
