I don't watch them but I remember reading about one that starred a young and upcoming Elisha Cuthbert and the premise was her mom was addicted to slot machines so in one scene she had a bag of groceries for the family but the all so common slot machine at the grocery star caught her eye and she blew the family's grocery money playing the slots.

My wife has liked one or two, but no... and I cannot remember the last one I saw.
That said, having knowledge of them has made actual parodies of them genuinely funny. I don't know if I would have enjoyed the podcast Hallmark: Never Stop Blowing Up (using a TTRPG system called "Never Stop Blowing Up", it was run by the folks at Dumbs Dumbs & Dice, and they lean ALL IN on the tropes).
But honestly, Hallmark movies have almost the EXACT SAME FORMULA apparently. So once you've seen one you're probably all set.

Maybe?
I admit I could definitely be getting the two mixed up.

Agreed, and wife and I do it every year. But there's no sport left in predicting the plots any more.
