Do y’all prefer IMAX or Dolby Cinema for in theater screenings?

I have been under the assumption that Dolby cinema has surpassed IMAX because of its sound system. But is the image better or does imax still hold the edge? How do y’all compare the two? I haven’t been to an IMAX screening in years because I’ve only been going to Dolby Cinema for my big event trips to the theaters. Thoughts?

I choose Dolby because the theatre I go to offers the recliners in that theatre and not in the IMAX

The picture and audio are close enough that I choose Dolby.

Dolby Cinema for me. Top notch picture and sound.
Most IMAX around is fake IMAX anyway with Digital Xenon projects. IMAX Laser and IMAX 70mm film are legit formats though.

Dolby.
And if Dolby isn't available, I'd rather see it in a regular theater with recliners than the local IMAX sans-recliners that we have around here.

If I can't see the movie in Dolby with those recliners then I just wait to see the movie in my home.

We have a theater here that has GTX. I only go to that. I love the Dolby Atmos, giant screen, and recliner seats.

I only go to IMAX screenings if the film was completely or partially filmed with an actual IMAX camera (like what Christopher Nolan has done). Otherwise it's not worth it to me.
