I don't understand how Live Free or Die Hard is so bad, yet Die Hard 2 is somehow OK. Except for the end, it was terrible. Unless you liked the cockpit ejection scene, the plane that got blown up and subsequently was forgotten about at the end (sorry 200+ dead passengers!), and Dennis Franz's character

I thought Die Hard 4 was pretty legit until the jet fighter scene. It seemed liked there were some PG-13 moments that took some of the edge off. But I didn't think it was awful.

Die Hard II is dumb from the simple fact that they included his wife coincidentally being involved again. The odds of being caught in one terrorist incident are already absurdly low, but this woman is a random victim twice! At least we can excuse McClain since he lives for this shite.

Joe Hallenbeck would stomp a mudhole in John McClane and have more awesome lines.

I like Die Hard 2 better than Live Free or Die Hard and I guess because I saw it as a kid before I saw the original, so there's a bit of nostalgia.

It's funny that you mention the downed British airplane. I've never really thought of that. 200 people died on a runway, yet there's no mention of it for the rest of the movie and people are sitting around the airport acting as if there weren't 200 dead bodies on the tarmac.

One other thing that got me is that when they started transmitting on the outer marker, they didn't just tell them to find another airport. They were up there long enough where they could've just flown to Baltimore or some Air Force Base.

John McClane > Chuck Norris. Fact.

Rankings:

1. John McClane Movies
2. Movies that don't have John McClane

The End of Rankings.
