People were expecting the ending to season 4 all over again. Although Lumen is a bitch. "Hey thanks for saving my life and helping me kill all those guys who raped me... soooo later."

no shite that was fricked up, then she's all needy and telling Dex to talk to her to say something. bitch just shattered his world...AGAIN.

wonder who's blood Dex used for the test.

So what does Quinn know?
idk if he heard Batista say "if we find who Liddy was watching, we find our killer" but if he did then i'm sure he knows it was Dex.

I'm pretty sure he knew it was Dexter anyway.

I had a feeling something bad was going to happen on the boat post-Chase. Also the camera angles and lighting made it seem like they were still being watched. Also absolutely nothing with the nanny, no looking for clues off the dock by Liddy, and no follow up to why Liddy had checked out equipment in Quinn's name? Just the blood not matching was enough to clear Quinn? Weak

at the end when they all appluaded Deb..I hated that. What are you applauding her for? finding the place where Chase raped the girls? "the one who SOLVED the barrel case." As far the investigation would show, Chase is missing and they have no suspects. So, technically speaking she didn't solve anything even though she actually does know what happened. And as far as Liddy goes, they just stop the investigation after Dex says the blood isnt Liddy's?

Nah if you waited until the end of the credits it shows you that it the investigation into Liddy and Jordan Chase will continue next season.

You know what. Now that I think about it. Deb did solve the barrel girl case. Because the room she found was proof that Chase and his posse did in fact commit the murders/rapes of the 12 girls. I stand corrected. I was looping the murders of the Chase crew in with the murders of the barrel girl when they are not the same case. My apologies.

Wouldn't they see the overturned car on the way to Chase's cabin and see blood in it... Dexter's blood.

I was wondering this as well.

I was watching carefully when he flipped and did not see any of his blood anywhere in the car.

The same people who thought this ending sucked are probably the same people who thought the Sopranos finale sucked. I thought both were fine.

This ending didn't present a shocking cliffhanger or huge surprise like last year (how can they top Rita's murder . . . be realistic), but it was a solid ending and served the series and the development of Dexter's character.

quote:

dexter realized that a) he wanted a human companion; and 2) that losing his dark passenger is possible. The series is progressing great.

This is true.

And, Deb knows it was Dexter and Lumen in the room. That was obvious to me. And Quinn knows Dexter killed Liddy. Likewise obvious. A lot of possibilities for next season.

Absolutely no way she knows. I'm not sure what show you were watching.

But it is obvious Quinn knows that Dexter killed Liddy.

The ending was a let down. They don't have to have some cliffhanger to make it good though. They just need to do something different. Its getting a little tiresome to see everything falling down on Dexter, and every time he is able to neatly clean up the mess.

IMO it didn't develop Dexter's character at all. He is still not sure if he will ever find someone who can truly understand him and be with him. Lumen obviously couldn't.

It wasn't a bad ending, but it could have been better.

What the frick do you think she was talking about when she had the conversation with Dexter toward the end about people not being who you thought they were? Did you observe her face when she looked through the visqueen at Dexter and Lumen? She knows, my friend.

I'm watching that series entitled "Dexter". You should give it a look.

She was talking about Quinn, and coincidently the same subject applies to Dexter. How many times in this show does Deb talk to Dexter about someone or something that directly applies to him, but Deb has no idea it does. Almost every episode.

0% chance she knows.

I did observe her face...and that shows 0 evidence that she knew it was her brother. Not only did she let off a shot, which she would have never done if she knew it was Dexter, but don't you think her emotions would be a little different...more suprised maybe?

She doesn't know.

ETA:

Do you possibly think that the look on her face was due to the fact that she just found the killers of her 4 suspects. And don't you think her facial expression was a little inconsitent with what you would think someones expression would be if they just found out their brother was a murderer.

I'm willing to make a bet with you and I'm as serious as I can be. I'll bet any amount of money you want to name that it is revealed next season that she realized the truth.

P.S. I have sort of an advantage here. Fair warning.

So what is your advantage then?

I'm simply not going to make a bet with some guy i don't know. Sorry.

All I can say is that there is no way that you would think shes knows from that episode. If you have seen a sneak peek of the next episodes and she knows that is all great, but like I said..from this episdoe and her reactions...you cannot tell she knows.

Atleast tell me how you know that she knows, because your examples of what happened in the final episode are poor.

And knowing what happens in the next episodes doesn't mean that you are supposed to know that she knows it was Dexter in this season finale.

Again...she may know it was Dexter...but In no way are you supposed to think that from this episode.

She was talking about Quinn,

And herself....she did something no one would think she would do. The "By the book cop", let the killer off the hook because she agreed with what they were doing.
