Kilmer was funny and did a good job adding humor to the film. It was a fresh take on Holiday, but also terribly inaccurate. He portrayed Doc more as a "Southern Gentleman" whereas Quaid portrayed him as a complete butt hole, which he was.

Both very good

I liked Quaid

Also, Wyatt Earp has aged much better than Tombstone and is much more watchable

Is there anyone who thinks Quaid was the better Holiday?

Me...in terms of being more historically accurate. Don't get me wrong, I think Kilmer's turn as Holiday was a phenominal role and he nailed it...I just found Quaid's performance better.

I tend to like Costner's Wyatt Earp movie better for the same reason. Tombstone was hella fun, but it was more MTV, shoot 'em up, one liner whereas Wyatt Earp was more of an epic western.

Both were great...
