Well, people in their 50s like Robin Williams character in GWH, would of course call a 25 year old a kid. And he meant it as you haven't left Boston or been married so you don't know shite.

If you can routinely drink in a bar and work a full-time job, or go to war and you have been laid...you're well past coming of age.

High School is the cut-off for "Coming of Age"... in most normal definitions.

You know like Sandlot to Porkys...that's the timeframe.

Who made that rule?

Emotionally he was underdeveloped, and he was a young man who then through development and growth, became a man.

I still had a lot of shite to learn at 21. He did too, regardless of being a genius.

I was a teen in the 90's but "Stand By Me" is pretty awesome (80's).

There isn’t one on your list better than any of these. And this was just off top of my head without giving it much thought.

I would consider Reality Bites as a coming of age story and that is post college.
