I had read that she basically got mixed up with some loser boyfriend who wrecked her car while being intoxicated, and the GoFundMe was to raise money for the car which she couldn't pay for because she had already blown all of the money she had made on Cobra Kai on who knows what. Apparently the producers of the show saw her as a risk/liability.
