no, Sam does his speech and its good then they vote by placing different shapes in a stack and two are close and one is way behind( guess maybe I was supposed to think Jons was the short stack). it ends up being a tie and Maester Ameon pulls out a chip and puts it on Jons he and he wins

Also with the reputation LF has why do people still make deals with him? I have a feeling Roose never even asked him what's in it for him

Have they addressed that she is still married to Tyrion?

Is it like they did it in the books? Because that was hardly believable as it is.

Actually, that scene on the show took place over a couple of days in the book and was very different. Thorne's campaign for Lord Commander never really went anywhere because he was so despised by nearly everyone. Denys Mallister, Janos Slynt , and another man not on the show Cotter Pyke go through a few rounds of voting with no-one able to gain a 2/3's majority vote (not a simple majority as implied on the show).

It was looking as if Slynt was going to be elected just to avoid Stannis from naming somebody without a vote. To prevent that Sam went to both Mallister and Pyke and pitched Jon as a compromise canidate. Jon was actually elected by a landslide after Mallister and Pyke withdrew and suportted Jon.

Yeah, I was talking about the books when I said it wasn't believable.

I can't believe I haven't given in to the temptation yet. If only I could have this much resistance to drugs and pocket pool dates with Rosie Palm

No. As OML said Sansa marrying Ramsay is the one marriage that makes absolutely no sense for Littlefinger. She doesn't need to marry Ramsay to receive northern legitimacy the moment she shows up the north, outside of the Boltons and Karstarks, will follow her. Couple that with the fact that Littlfinger is the Lord Paramount of the Trident and he is in control of the Vale and they have no need for the Boltons.

It's easily the worst change the show has made.

Yep, it's dumb as hell. No reason for LF to make that move. All he had to do is wait and see who won between Bolton and Stannis. Either way he could make same moves he's planning anyway, without putting Sansa in danger. He's basically putting both of them in extreme danger for no gain at all.

Just finished em, I kinda hated most everything in them actually:

-The LF plot to marry off Sansa is idiotic for all the reasons addressed here already.

-Daenerys is the worst damn ruler on the planet. I guess she is a woman, but she is so incompetent so far this season.

-WTF with the unsullied and that old legendary dude sorta getting their arses slaughtered by a bunch of cave fighters. I thought that was pretty unrealistic. I also hate the way they faught the dudes. I hate to nitpick things but you're outnumbered, you have shields and long spears vs an unorganized group of combatants. You ran from a small, narrow alley out into a larger corridor where the enemy was. So, pretty no brainer to go back into the tight alley where you can fight side by side and numbers don't matter. Have these dudes not seen 300 yet haha?!?!

-I also didn't love Tyrian just stumbling around drunkenly in some massive town and getting kidnapped. He and Varys are as screwed as they come. I didn't see him as the guy who couldn't wait one more day and as such gets kidnapped.

-Lord Cammandor Snow was def the saving grace of the leaked episodes.

Agreed. Im assuming this is a setup for her to sic some dragons on that arse. Idk. Shes made it pretty hard for me to imagine her handling herself without her ultra loyal advisors

Hold up. Barristan Selmy is the best living swordsman and that included Jaime with two hands. It took like 6 of the harpies to even take Selmy to one knee and even then he killed all but one. Plus we don't know how skilled the SOTH are.
