Yep, it's dumb as hell. No reason for LF to make that move. All he had to do is wait and see who won between Bolton and Stannis. Either way he could make same moves he's planning anyway, without putting Sansa in danger. He's basically putting both of them in extreme danger for no gain at all.

Plus it seems as if he's counting on Stannis winning. This is like Batman and the Joker teaming up. There is no one in the realm who would like to see LF dead more than Stannis. It's openly known in this timeline that Littlefinger betrayed Ned in order to keep Stannis off the throne, and he is also largely responsible for winning the Blackwater due to the Lannister/Tyrell alliance he proposed. Stannis would hang him the second he got his hands on him, and that discounts every other horrible thing he's done.

I'm wondering why the show had Loras arrested and charged instead of Margaery. Any ideas for the change?

Because the show has gone out of its way to not make Cersei as much of a bitch as she is in the books.

Edit: Like how they changed it to Joffrey ordering the murder of Robert's bastards in the s2 premiere.

I think they're going to get around to that. Cersei's storyline seems by far the least changed in the show.
