Well, straight men anyway. On tonight's episode of Discovery, the two male doctors appear to be in a relationship. Also had the F-bomb dropped twice.

Star Trek has always pushed the boundaries of social norms. I wonder how far they will go since this isn't on tv?

Gays are so last year.

Wake me when someone transitions.

I'm also enjoying the show. When they dropped the F-bomb, I was a little shocked, then I remembered its not on tv.

I gave the Orville a shot, but I just didn't like it.

The gay relationship doesn't bother me as long as they don't get too preachy or in your face about it.

It’s a good show. I binged the first 4 eps today.

It’s 2017 and you know the climate.

The protagonist has to be something other than a white male and gay people must be shoe horned in. Half the characters on The Walking Dead are gay.

That’s why you haven’t seen a white guy be a judge in a court room scene in 20 years.

People that make shows check off boxes.

As long as the show is good, so am I.

The F Bombs just seemed way out of place for Trek.

I thought so as well. Did they just do it for shock value? She could have just said "that's so cool". F-bomb seems gratuitous.

The show has a lot going for it. It looks good, plot has been good, if they would have gone the tv or cable route they would have been assured to have a good audience. Not sure if the paid route is going to work out. Younger people might be more comfortable paying for the subscription, but older people (like myself) won't be as likely to do it. You know, we still have 12:00 flashing on our VCRs!??

CBS is bad at online stuff.

Few young people will take the bait of the horseshite paywall that CBS put up for Discovery.

Watching it free today. Took a quick google search.

Save the lectures.

I have an over the air antenna for CBS and I also have DTV logins.

If they want to hide a show beyond a third paywall, I’ll happily steal it.

"I'm not paying for CBS All Access" is the new "I'm a vegan".

Well people are still bigoted and racist against gays, so these shows have to teach people how to be comfortable with gays and such. Its important you watch the show for your life lessons to find inner peace with the uncomfortabilities in your life.

This ain't schoolhouse Rock.
No need for that in every TV show. It's whole unnecessary and forced down your throat.

The show is top notch. Forced gay characters kinda annoy me on shows when it's obviously forced so hard like this one, but so far it hasn't been too distracting.

I'll usually be the first to notice how over ridiculously black people are over representated on tv, but this isn't one of those times. What shows have you been watching the last 20 years?

Was getting ready to watch it. Then they took a knee. Probably not going to watch it now and the more I hear, the less I like about it.

You cats enjoy it, though. Don't mind me.

I don't understand why you think anything I said could convey that message.

I have an HD antenna.

I have satellite service logins.

CBS is at least double dipping putting content behind a pay wall.

I don't know if you have noticed but the dinosaurs are fighting back and their plan is terrible.

It's not about being edgy. shite, I'm a 45 year old dude that is just ok with tech stuff.

Their plan is to path out cord cutters with $9/month subscription services by walling off content until we are all back to paying $150-$200 a month for bloated content.

They are trying to loop around the back side and end up back in their comfort zone,

^THIS^
Gays represent less than 4% of American society, yet probably shown on over 80% of television.

Their plan to have Netflix cover all of the production costs while they produce the best special effects series on television, create a streaming audience, and build up a library of content that will provide a revenue stream for decades to come?

Terrible!

Come February you'll be able to stream the entire series for the price of a McDonald's meal. Half the price of one Star Wars ticket.

Or you can be edgy and steal it now.
