Brett's mom did not know what big brother was. His aunt said it was all lying cheating stealing and s*x . Brett's mom was worried even after he explained it was a game.

She pretty much nailed it

The Angela segment about how she can smell everything cracked me up. They did a good job on the edit

Yea, everyone wanting Julie out doesn't realize that CBS will screw this up and have Ross or freaking Paul hosting

Did prod tell Sam to amp up the crazy? If not then security might have to escort her out when she gets evicted

I would put money on a BB alum hosting after Julie exits. They have a healthy stable of fan favorites, and the hardcore fans will eat it up.

Lol Sam.

Basically if she doesn’t win the game, she’s going to demolish the house. Good tv coming this month.

That entire episode was a testament to how solid L6 is. The episode is built around nominations, and there was zero question, so 90% of the episode had to be filled with other stuff. They probably couldn't even get KC to speak about the possibility of putting anybody else up.

I don't know what tf she would do if she wins HOH for double eviction

BB has still not yet been renewed for Season 21. After a summer of issues, most all are panicking, a lot. Les just resigned and Julie's team has not told producers if she would come back even if/when it is renewed, no deal is in place for her on more seasons. #BB20 #SaveBBUSA

quote:

Ratings are usually the biggest sign. BB20 is averaging lower than BB19, but holding in the key demo, even with football back. This is a good sign for renewal odds but nothing is certain, there is no guarantee. If you love BB, Twitter do you thing and: #SaveBBUSA #BB20

So Vegas is trying to get #SaveBBUSA trending because BB has been renewed and there are doubts about it being renewed after all of the issues this season.

Also if it's renewed, Julie is no longer under contract.

Grodner/Vegas trying to start a backlash. She's panicking.

I don't believe this. I'd have to see it for myself.

Last summer, fans didn’t have to worry whether CBS might cancel or renew its Big Brother TV show, because it was already renewed before the premiere. This time around, there are no such reassurances. Still, since the reality TV series has long been a Nielsen ratings winner, cancellation isn’t a big concern. We’re keeping an eye on the ratings though, because it helps us measure the success of other Tiffany Network shows, and one day, Big Brother will fail to captivate viewers, so stay tuned.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

quote:

The 19th season of Big Brother averaged a 1.69 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.088 million viewers on Sundays, a 1.82 in the demo and 5.999 million viewers during eviction episodes (Thursdays), and a 1.89 and 6.333 million, respectively, during veto episodes (Wednesdays).

I was surprised by this as well. It wouldn't shock me if they ended it given Julie's husband leaving and the negative publicity it has generated in recent years.

im not too worried.

julie makes more than the winner does. axe her and save a lot.

they have the house. bb is cheap to produce and does well in ratings during the lean summer months.

they couldn't replace it with anything that would do nearly as well on sun wed thur , given the same non-julie budget

I wouldn't know what to do if/when BB got cancelled. Surely, it gets renewed with/without Julie.

How the hell does Big Brother not have the highest profit margin on network tv? Like another poster said, this should be so easy to produce for such little money.

If it was a money problem, there’s a lot of readily cuttable pork in the US show’s budget.

Cut: Julie’s salary; the elaborately themed comps, including the ones that spray shite randomly at the guests; America’s Favorite (The Who has more fans who can click a button vote); and the post-show interview Circuit (where Jeff makes his only income).

Two of the most exciting competitions in B.B. history couldn’t have cost more than 1000 bucks: the box in S6 where they all had to hold down a button (the OG endurance comp); and the S7 comp where Kaysar had to shave his head and George went on slop for the whole season.

THOSE are the B.B. comps we love. Not an ornately decorated backyard with a fricking ball roll puzzle.
