the whole point of the jury is to vote on who played the game the best not who handled goodbye messages best.
You could argue GBMs are part of playing a good game. Paul played a good game but didn't own it. People need to have that ego stroked. Saying "zomggggggs idk what happened!!!" doesn't help you. He backstabbed a shitload of people and never came clean. Josh, on the other hand, admitted it. We saw Paul played a better game but he never explained it to the jury while Josh did.
It might not have been the most traditional strategy but it worked.

Nobody is going to give someone they don't like $500,000. Whether we like it or not, gameplay has very little to do with how the jury votes.

Cody sniping Paul’s victim arse with the final vote for Josh last year was GOAT BB moment

That was a bitter jury. In no way did Josh win. Paul lost it.
Josh doesn't get enough credit for his gameplay down the stretch last year. Everyone remembers the pots and pans but no one remembers that he was the first one in their alliance to start thinking "you know what, I better get Paul out now because everyone is following this guy around."
His goodbye messages were really what won him the game because every time someone would go him they'd see Paul "ohhhhh maaaaan I have no idea what happened. If you're seeing this I'm crying myself to sleep every night about how wrong this went." Meanwhile Josh is going yeah your bro had a final 2 with everyone in the house and is backstabbing folks left and right. Besides the fact that most of the jury was Cody/Jess' side of the house, if I saw such stark differences in the messages like that I'd be pissed too.
Not to mention Paul should have been out week 1. They gave him a stupid power right out the gate to keep him in and without it, Cody's side runs the house. I'm glad they learned their lesson this year in not bringing a vet back in.

All of that said, that's the one thing I thing may end up biting Tyler. They haven't really showed his goodbye messages so it's hard to tell how he's been with those. But if he's doing the same "ohhh man i don't know what happened" shtick it could easily screw him.

Being that Tyler knows the game so well, I doubt he's making the same mistake.

It was Josh handling good bye messages in an absolute perfect way, in order to set himself up to win in the end.
If you really believe that was strategy on Josh’s part, I’ve got some oceanfront property in Arizona I’ll sell you.
Josh is a moron. That was just him being himself. “Yo! Yo! Ya boy Josh and Paul got a final two and we got you out, sucka!” It was just his dumbass being a loudmouth braggart.
It ended up winning the game for him, but by accident. That dude fell into victory arse first.
He had no idea Paul was pretending to be a bewildered ally to every evicted houseguest in his goodbye messages.
Paul’s mistake was twofold:
1) Doing that unnecessary act in his goodbye messages instead of just being neutral or even owning it.
2) Not anticipating that his crass, immature, 80 IQ buddy was going to rub eviction in each evictees face and brag about his deal with Paul in his goodbyes. He should have expected that from Josh.

All of this. Anyone who thinks Josh conscientiously made an effort to win the game is just dumb.

We didn't watch the same show. It was a calculated effort on his part to start sabotaging Paul after Cody/Jess/Mark/Elena were all out.
Anyone who thinks Paul really should have won last season is clueless.

JC, Sam and Scottie are the have-nots for the week because they were the first to drop out of the HoH competition
I'm laughing because of JC

From last night
He's right

Brett to Scottie- JC is going to be a mess. I feel like half the reason they did it like that was so JC would be (a have-not)

Brett to Scottie- It's like their way of getting back at JC for being a frick head all the time #

Scottie- If it's the five of us in jury, we literally pick who wins. Haleigh- I know. They dont care

Scottie- Her (Angela's) GBM to Rockstar was "I heard you think I'm an entitled little girl that gets whatever she wants. I guess you're right cause you are no longer in the house". Haleigh- What? Do they not give a frick about jury? Scottie- I was like fricking savage

Developing controversy about whether or not Tyler should have been DQed in the HOH comp.
The Gif of the moment in question is the top response
So it looks like he was picking his feet up to adjust his stance. He probably should have been DQed when it happened, but there is absolutely no chance they "correct" it this late into the week. They would rather be wrong and screw Scottie and Haleigh over than mess up the schedule

Once producers who make decisions arrive they'll review the footage for HOH to check if any HG, specifically Tyler, inadvertently broke a rule during the HOH. Still developing.

The rules of the competition were not just what Angela said. The real rules are read by production over PA are the rules and they get to ask questions. The rules were the same as BB17. One foot must be on disc, no sitting, and cannot fall below the disc.

But by the sounds at this point, it seems highly unlikely Tyler will be stripped of HOH. Don't take this out on me either way. Just sharing. Will update when there's more to this.

I understand why they won't let players sit, but saying one foot must be on there is dumb. If a player picks his/her feet up off of the disc and can some how manage to put them back on it, then more power to them.

Perfect chance to screw L6.

Did anyone else see that JC was drinking from Tyler’s cup? I just watched last nights episode. It was when JC was talking to Kaycee on the sofa. I don’t know why it was so funny to me, but it was.
