Xmas is the only person in the game that has more influence over Josh than Paul does (she has taken on a motherly role with him). If she was smart, and maybe with a little help from production, she should convince Josh that the only way for him to win this game would be for him to be the HOH that takes out Paul with a blindside. The chances to win HOH are going to be limited for Josh and a crippled Xmas and she needs to convince him that this is his chance to become on of the "greatest" BB players . . . which he is dumb enough to eat that shite up.
It actually would be a great game move and would be the best move of the game. Put Alex and Jess up. Hope that the temptation loser is someone that would 100 % vote to keep Paul. Win veto and take Jess off, blindside Paul.
Josh and Christmas now would control the house. It would be an epic game move, and Josh and Xmas could go deep, but I don't think Josh could pull it off

Yeah she's a huge disappointment. I bet she smells weird and her apartment is a mess.

If I'm Jess or Cody, I have nothing to lose. I would start talking to everyone and making it obvious that Paul is a dangerous threat and that more people need to be concerned with getting him out. My God he can brainwash 10/12 people at a time. It's time to wake up, you stupid sheepeople. Eight people can't win, and I would not want Paul in jury with his ability to manipulate votes. I would make this a serious point.
Btw, if Josh pulls off the ultimate blindside to get out Paul this week, I will gain a bunch of respect for him and he could go down as a good player if he pulled it off. But he won't.

Yeah if I was Jody I would start talking to everyone in groups of 2 and ask them do you truly believe that you are Paul's top 2 that his bringing to the final. They need to start implanting stuff in people's minds

I came to say the exact same thing. Nothing to lose. Put the differences with Josh aside and try to get him and Christmas to flip on Paul. Josh can be reeled in by them making it clear that America is hating this whole bullying schtick that they are trying to pull on Jody. Tell him he could instantly become the leader in the house by getting Paul out and essentially restarting the game.

Problem with that is, Josh taking two seconds to just shut up and listen, which might be impossible with Jody. They need to approach Christmas first, get her flip and get Xmas to flip Josh.
Biggest thing is they need to expose paul being the joke ring leader against josh in the first two weeks.

I just don't seen an avenue for Jess and Cody to talk to anyone on the other side and convince them of anything. They're all so brainwashed, they're beyond hope. And I think trying to sway them would backfire. I think they just lay low and enjoy their week together and hope for the best. Don't make any waves. There are some cracks in the other side. Maybe they'll fissure a little more before Thursday.
One of them winning the Temptation, and one losing would certainly create some paranoia.

I think the most realistic thing for Jess at this point is just trying to get Xmas/Josh to evict Cody first. I don't think there is anyway that she can get them to not target one of them this week.

Despair really hit for me a week or so ago when I realized that even if Jess/Cody played an absolutely masterful game, pulled all the stops, did some Dans-funeral type ish, basically were totally flawless from here on out and one of them made final 2, there is a less than 0% chance they'd win because the jury wouldn't give them the satisfaction.

And almost as soon as I posted that, Josh apparently when to Jess and said he wanted to talk to her when they got a chance sometime today.

I hate the paul faction and think they are terrible but you actually want Jess or Cody to win?
All these people suck. I wish none of them would win.

Julie Chen is such a hack for going on her talk show everyday to talk about "real issues" then completely ignores it when these very issues happen in the game she hosts. She deserves just as much backlash as anyone else.
Still not watching anything anymore, but I have to drop back in to address this very good observation because it is too important to slide by unnoticed.
I will take this a step further.
Not only did Julie "ignore" the bullying of a veteran and his girlfriend and the assaultive vitriol that has taken over this season, she condoned it by hiding it from the TV only viewers in the edit.
But what's even worse, Julie actually encouraged it and even ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN IT with her praise to Josh last night saying "I guess it's MEATBALLS for dinner tonight right Josh" and laughing with the whole house on live television while Cody and Jess sat there helplessly again.
I mentioned earlier in the thread that I thought Julie was openly hostile to Cody in his exit interview, and her rejoicing with the whole house that Josh won HOH over Cody or Jessica is completely uncalled for and shameful.
I just couldn't be more disappointed in the mob rule atmosphere that has ruined my favorite summer show.
Hopefully all of these fricks are treated with the same attitude from America when they crawl out of that hell hole of a house.

Ok let's not forget Jody did this to themselves. They decided to alienate themselves. This is a completely different game if Cody never comes back in the house

This is only half true. Jody went out of their way to try and make a gesture of good faith when Jess won the HOH two weeks ago. They got burned on that deal.
I don't blame Paul's group but Jody made an effort that first week, Paul was just not going to let them assimilate back into the group no matter what.

What if Josh completely flips the script and turns on Paul?
GOAT Big Brother back stab.
If he did that, coupled with him grabbing the golden apple when Cody was for sure sending him home, he'd look like a genius.
I love the fact that he was annoyed that Paul made him go get water during his HOH. Hopefully he sees that he's not Paul's bitch.
ETA: please Josh!!! Anyone but Jess, Cody, or Mark or Kevin!!! Anyone!!!
