If you watch The Force Awakens, pay VERY CLOSE attention to what the ship looks like that leaves Rey on Jakku.

Does it look like this?

If it does, that's the Corvus, Inferno Squad's ship from Battlefront 2. At the end of the campaign, it's revealed that Del Meeko fathered a daughter with Iden Versio as Kylo Ren assaults his mind to find the location of the map to Luke.

Also, after Del's encounter with Luke Skywalker, he becomes a member of the Church of the Force, which could explain how his offspring became force-sensitive.

They could do both.

Iden Versio's mother could have been Palpatine's daughter, which is why the Emperor put Admiral Versio in charge of executing Operation Cinder.

That way, Palpatine could have fathered Rey's grandmother (Iden's mother).

Is it believable that this is Rey's father?

and this is her mother?

The main character of Battlefront II is Imperial Special Forces Commander Iden Versio, who is basically the Empire's version of Wedge Antilles. Her father is one of the top Admirals in the Imperial Fleet.

During the Battle of Endor, her squad is present when the Death Star is destroyed. Upon escaping Endor, her father reveals that the Emperor is dead and that Operation Cinder is in place.

Iden Versio and Del Meeko defect to the Rebellion once she sees that Operation Cinder involves the Empire attacking and terrorizing her home planet Vardos.

Gideon Hask, the other member of Inferno, stays with the Empire and eventually becomes part of the First Order. He is present when Kylo Ren invades Meeko's mind to find where the map to Luke Skywalker is.

Exactly. No one knows who the frick that is. Just like no one knew who snoke was and if they reveal that Snoke was some obscure character you had to read a book to know 78% of people will just go "huh?".

It really won't surprise me if Rey goes to the Dark Side and Kylo Ren comes back to the light. He may very well be the Skywalker of this trilogy.

You know how many parents with little girls adoring Rey this would piss off? I just don’t see Disney doing that, mass outrage and all, I would like it though
