No one cares about Avatar. This is going to flop so hard. How much money does this thing need to make to break even?

It's not going to flop. The name alone will be enough to get people to flock to theaters to go see it. I will be one of those people, though I'm not expecting much, I was rather bored by the first movie.

Everybody loves to shite on Avatar and I get that the story was shite and this one more than likely will as well, but seeing Avatar in the theaters for the first time was probably my greatest experience at the movies. The visuals were mesmerizing in 3D, and that alone is worth seeing a movie with a meh story.

" of it looks like its just military vs blue people again"..

JFC.

It just looks like batman vs bad guy

It just looks like predator hunting for sport again.

My gripe was that they never let the shots track for long enough to appreciate all of the detail. As soon as I would get a fix for what I was looking at, the shot would change.

My thought leaving the first one was, "Well, if they ever set their minds to making a proper Warcraft movie, it would be kind blowing if it looked like this."

I get that the visuals are great, again I’ll admittedly see this in the theater, but really? Compared to Lord of the Rings for the first time? Yes, it’s a great cinematic experience, but no it’s not the best. Gravity was better than Avatar on the big screen. That one blew my face off seeing it in IMAX, but Avatar was simply cool visuals. If you’ve seen a film like Princess Mononoke (probably in the Top Three most visually stunning animated movies ever) and know Cameron ripped that off, deliberately or otherwise, it takes you out of it.

I’ll put it this way, I hope this movie is a big enough success that they bring back Gravity to IMAX for a February release. Yeah, even if you have the most basic understanding of physics and space it doesn’t make any sense (unlike Interstellar), but as a big screen experience, it’s hard to beat.
