0Do you have to be familiar with the original trilogy in order to "get" this series? While I've seen and enjoyed them all it's been quite some time. TIA!

The rights issue that kept Army of Darkness from being referenced in Season 1 isn't an issue any longer according to the show's producer. He said at Comic Con that Ash will talk about what happened in the third film in Season 2

Don't get me wrong, I liked the first three just fine. Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors. I especially liked his work in Burn Notice as Sam Axe.
