Looks like the writers view this finale not only as this season's finale, but the finale for the first two seasons.
Here's the article where they talk about it: LINK
I also found this quote interesting:
Meanwhile, he also said: "The thing about Arrow is we've shown a willingness to lose characters when a lot of other shows might keep them around. Let me put it this way… There's one character who you will not be seeing at the start of season 3."
I think most of our 1st thoughts would go to Sara, but I'm wondering if they meant someone whose been around for both seasons. I'm wondering if Diggle might go off and lead the Suicide Squad for awhile. I think (based on the episode description) he will get the Suicide Squad and go try and stop Waller in the finale, and I'm wondering if he decides to try leading them for awhile. It's not like Oliver can continue to pay the guy. And he would be getting back with his ex.
Should be an excellent finale. I just wish it was a 2hr finale.

Sara first choice. Either dead or back in the League. I'm going with the sister as my second choice. She will go off with Malcolm.

Yeah, Sara was the easy choice. I was just thinking out loud with the Diggle stuff. I doubt it happens.
Here's another interview for tonight's episode (there is a lot of description in it so it could be somewhat of a spoiler...fyi): LINK
I almost started fapping on the spot when I read this:

Of course, the season would not truly be complete without an ending both in Starling City and in the past. "We do something in the finale that we've never done on the show," Amell says. "Typically on the show, we have set flashback pieces, but our entire fourth and fifth act of the finale seamlessly intercut between the past and the present, [featuring] two moments between Slade and Oliver: the formative moment and the culmination of our battle in the present. It's really something."
"You've heard so much about what happened on the island with Slade and Oliver over the course of Season 2," Guggenheim says. "Oliver has talked about having the chance to cure him, but he chose to kill him instead, and has said that he drove an arrow through his eye. We've spent the last 22 episodes talking about the events of the finale in the flashbacks. All of this stuff you've been hearing about is going to come to a head."
Just how epic will their long-awaited showdown be in the past, where Oliver has boarded the freighter the Amazo in a bid to stop Slade? "We took our Amazo set and our amazing special effects department waterproofed the entire thing and flooded it with gallons upon gallons of water and we removed one section of the cells so we could get a techno-crane in there," Guggenheim says. "It is the scene of what I will say is one of the most epic fights that we've had on the show."

It says in the interview that he "drove" the arrow into his eye. I'm wondering if he actually shoots him in the eye, or if he just drives it into his eye with his hand.
Either way...someone is losing a flipping eye tonight!!!

Arrow, honestly is one of the best shows on TV. Right behind Game of Thrones. That is a nice list to be on.

Yup I've been telling all my friends it may easily be the 2nd best show on TV, but they don't want to believe that.
