There is no way that she is ready to go out on her own after only a month or so of boxing training.
Agreed if there is no time jump. But remember the state of Laurel right now. She's angry. She's impatient. And she wants revenge. She might strike out on her own before she is ready.

Yeah I don't even really buy that Thea is as wel trained as she is after only a few months.
I can suspend my belief on Thea by assuming/pretending that Malcolm used some sort of League of Assassins advanced training to train her faster or something.

If there was no time jump, and she just strikes out still angry and impatient, hopefully she'll get her tail kicked again. But that has already happened, so surely they won't go back to that plot device.

the problem they have to avoid is making Team Arrow too big. I know they have tried to limit the team this season with Diggle being a dad, Roy being worthless, and Felicity doing her own thing but that has yet to stop any of them from helping Oliver.
it becomes really tough to tell realistic stories when you have so many cards in your deck. it also becomes a challenge to keep them all relevant as we are seeing first hand with Roy.
i kind of miss the one man crusade from the first season.

Yeah, I agree with you there. I liked it when it was just Oliver, Diggs, and Felicity. They had great chemistry together.
But I'm thinking that this might be Roy's last season with team Arrow (I think he'll strike out on his own like in the comics), but I have a feeling that Thea will take his place. And I have no clue what they plan on doing with Laurel once she reaches Black Canary status. Maybe she'll go off on some journey to better train or something like she does in the comics.

Some of them have to strike out on their own. Otherwise this show becomes way to bogged down with too many simultaneously moving side plots that bog the story down. I think Roy definitely needs to go and at least one of either Laurel/Thea.
Maybe have them all come together a couple times a year to fight a big bad or something.

i really want Roy to die or lose his arm
im just a big Roy hater though. but him losing his arm due to Oliver's inability to help him would actually be a good story. i would also like to see the villain Prometheus used in this type of medium. such an under utilized villain.

He could still flip his arse off with no arm tho.

But yeah, I could get down with Roy losing his arm because of Oliver and him becoming the "true" Arsenal. I not only don't like the character (maybe the actor is actually what I don't like), but it seems they brought him in too quickly and kind of forced him or something. He doesn't really seem to fit a need for this universe or something to me. Now chop his arm off, have him blame Oliver, and have him stick an assault rifle on the nub; and I'd be down with that.

i could see them using Roy in the "Nightwing" role where he ventures off on his own and just pops back every now and then. hes just so young which doesnt help his believability in the role. im not referring to the actual actors age but how the character is portrayed.
completely agree with this. he went from trying to find the Arrow to becoming his sidekick in like half a season.
does anyone have that awesome gif of him flipping and getting punked?

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Laurel isn't 100% ready to join Ollie's team.
Oliver's team is getting too big.

I was coming here to post that. While non-comic readers probably thinks that is pretty goofy, being a comic geek that was pretty bad arse!

Dang, since when did Diggle get so harsh. They don't even know for sure yet if Roy killed Sara and he is already wanting to cut ties with the kid. I guess we aren't the only one that Roy annoys.

Is this how he becomes Arsenal? Leaves Starling city and becomes a vigilante in another town?
