Based on the best-selling novels by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K. Rowling), Tom Burke ("The Musketeers") stars as private detective Cormoran Strike, a former war veteran now working out of a cramped London office.
Together with his assistant, Robin Ellacott, Cormoran tackles cases that have, so far, baffled the police. Though struggling with the psychological and physical toll that combat have wrought on him, Cormoran is well-equipped to delve into complex conundrums thanks to his background as a Special Investigation Branch investigator.
We're almost finished watching the episodes that have been released. Great show!

Yeah it’s great. Been watching over the years. Still have this newest chapter, Lethal White, to watch, and I’m excited.

is there a new case to solve each episode? Or, one case over the course of the season?

Their seasons are weird. Like I think the first season was 2 or 3 episodes ~ one case. Same with season two and three. Now we're on season 4 and there are 4 episodes. We have 2 left. So basically each *season* is one case but there aren't many episodes each season.

We finished these last 4 episodes last night. Wow, there were some heart-stopping moments in these episodes.

Yeah What CaLSU said. The way hbomax added it to their service makes it really confusing.
Series 1: The Cuckoo's Calling (2017)...this “season” consists of 3 episodes
Series 2: The Silkworm (2017)...consists of 2 episodes
Series 3: Career of Evil (2018)...consists of 2 episodes
Series 4: Lethal White (2020)...consists of 4 episodes

Yeah, it's kind of confusing but I'm hoping for a 5th series sooner rather than later! Totally hooked on the characters and the show.
