Very interested to hear about the road stories.

Its one of the reasons the smaller territories (small in size, not necessarily the pay) were so popular with wrestlers back in the day. Being able to wrestle 5-6 times a week and and spend most nights in your own bed was a nice change of pace.

Pacific Northwest Wrestling, as an example, didn't pay very well by the standards of the day but since it was such a compact territory it was popular with wrestlers because they could make shows and then drive back home easily.

Memphis, Calgary, and Mid-South, on the other hand, had spread out territories so at best you might get one or two nights a week to sleep at home. That sort of travel, combined with the wear and tear of the in ring stuff, can break someone's body down big time.

Anybody else going tonight? I'm going to the 7:00 show at Perkins Rowe. I'll be wearing a shirt matching my avi, with a black baseball cap & blue jeans.

Just got out. Now, I’m a pro wrestling enthusiast; I’ve worked in this business in various capacities, I study this business and its history, I’m about as hardcore as it gets.

All that said, I enjoyed it, but I didn’t really feel like the title fits the documentary. The editing was very poor and to summarize, it’s basically 2 hours of jumping from one guy to another with their various comments about certain topics and reminiscing about things that happened back in the day. Some of the topics discussed include: rough travel schedules/effects, breaking into the business, is wrestling “fake”?, dangers of being a heel, steroids, injuries, drinking/drugs/parties, ring rats/adultery.

JJ Dillon was the "overseer" and provided some commentary. There were numerous talents featured, some of whom I have never even heard of. This is where solid editing would have been beneficial. No one wants to hear comments from an old washed up indy wrestler they’ve never heard of.

Here’s a list of who was in it:
Tito Santana
Paul Orndorff
Greg Valentine
Bret Hart
Wendi Richter
JJ Dillon
Don Fargo
George Steele
Superstar Billy Graham
Jimmy Snuka
Ox Baker
Bill Eadie
Lanny Poffo
Abdullah the Butcher
Ted DiBiase
Gangrel
Angelo Mosca
Farmer Pete (midget)
Wolfman Willie Farkas
Howard Jerome
Butcher Vachon
Angelo Savoldi
Stan Hansen
Gino Caruso
Ricky Johnson
Ray Apollo
Lex Luger
Slick
Davey O’Hannon
Larry Sharpe
Ric Drasin
Johnny Mantell
Bushwhacker Luke
Judo Gene Lebell
Don Leo Jonathan
Marty Jannetty
Nikolai Volkoff

There’s also some very brief segments on Killer Kowalski & Gorgeous George, without any real rhyme or reason.

Some guys were featured more prominently than others — Bret Hart had the most airtime, and I’m a fan of his and could listen to him talk wrestling all day and night. Superstar Graham and Ox Baker had a good bit as well. Some guys were only shown once, for a few seconds, which didn’t make sense. It felt disorganized and sloppy.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Not on the level of some other pro wrestling docs, but if you’re a hardcore fan like me I think you’ll like it.

I forgot how hot Wendi Richter was back in the day. Also never realized that she has heterochromia (has two different color eyes).

I remember there was a very small wrestling federation in BR back in the late 90’s
