With this wait time I’m starting to lose interest.

I always respond on Ozark and I have no news. I've heard from past seasons, six month to film and six months to post produce. If that is the case, look for release in March. I agree and am almost perturbed it's going to be nearly 20 months since the last season. But as they say, it is what it is.

The filming is complete and has been for months. All the sets have been removed from behind my house.

I guess its just a matter of editing

Instagram stuff indicates it wrapped about October 25.
This is from the actor playing Sam Dermody:

I had it wrong up there. It will be in or around May, maybe before. I don't know which award it is but if they want to be considered for a xxxx award the show has to release by a certain date.
So I checked it and I read through it fast but to be eligible for the Emmy awards in the 2020 presentation, then the show has to air by May 6, 2020 or so. So just in the interest of buzz and considering Julia Garner won an Emmy for the show, they will have to air by early May. That's the best wild azzed guess I have.

I can walk to it from my house. The set where the hillbillies live is on the first point leaving my cove.

They cleaned it all up about two months ago. It is usually the last thing they finish.

There have not been any filming in a while.

Do they do it every year or do you think they are done with the location? The Blue Cat for instance was sold in 2018 and is a barbecueplace now. Yeah, I know it's not on Lake Lanier.

The set where the hillbillies live is on some old camp grounds on Lake Lanier. They are closed now but belong to the corps of engineers. They move that stuff in there and take it away every time they film. Its usually up for 2-3 months then they clean up.

This is the set where the trailers are and the bobcats lived. Plus, the camp grounds are full of RV's where some of the cast stay while working on the movie

So from our conversations here it appears Ozark will return in the spring likely around April. But of interest to me is how it changes going into Season 3. The show is going to shift to the casino and away from the Blue Cat and Lickety Splitz. So I'm interested in the opinion of watchers whether they think it essential that Marty stick it out with Wendy? I'd hoped by the end of S2 they would not.

I've rewatched parts of several episodes over the past few months and long term, I don't see how most of the characters ever get out of the shite they are in.

I really hope they get a bigger boat for season 3. That kind of took me out of the end of season 2. You aren't laundering much money in a boat that can only hold a few video poker machines.

The Ozark set designer Derek R Hill was interviewed about this when he was nominated for some award. The plot called for a casino boat and this is all they had in the area so they went with it. I'm sure budget was a consideration. I'm afraid we could get that punky paddle wheeler again. It is located on a small lake in Stone Mountain, Georgia. You can see it on Google Earth. I know they shot some early casino stuff this season in Savannah. Don't know if that portends a larger boat in some scenes. Netflix is so tight lipped about all this stuff.
