For those still jonesin' for their Peaky Blinders and Cillian Murphy fix, look no further than Anthropoid.
Didn't know of this one, but we watched it last night on Prime and really enjoyed it.
Released in 2016, it is based on the true story of Operation Anthropoid, which was the code name for the assassination mission targeting SS General Reinhard Heydrich, one of the main architects of the Holocaust.
The film focuses on the two Czechoslovakian agents, Jozef Gabcík and Jan Kubiš, who are parachuted into their occupied homeland to carry out the dangerous mission. It explores themes of sacrifice, bravery, and the grim consequences of resistance during World War II.

Did a tour in Prague several years ago where we watched the film and then toured the sites of the events, ending with the church and the basement where they made their stand. There are still bullet holes in the exterior from the Nazis shooting at them. Was a very powerful experience. The movie is excellent and very accurate to the subject matter. Those men were extremely brave.

It's a good movie. That was a wild mission. Massive cajones to attempt it.

Damn, I've been to Prague 3 times and never knew. Guess I'll have to go back.

Great movie! Those were some brave men and their families too. Wasn’t the decapitated head of their mom shown to their younger brother to get him to talk? It’s been awhile since I watched it. RH was arguably the third most important man instrumental in the development of the Final Solution only behind Hitler and Himmler. Glad they got him!
