Did you hate Johnny Cash when he completely redid "Hurt?" You know, that song by Trent Reznor, who happens to be very similar in style to Adam. Because if you didn't then you're an enourmous hypocrit. FWIW, I think Cash would have like Adam's version. Cash was a strange dude in his own right. He was awesome though.

Totally beat me to it! Cash's rendition was f#cking AWFUL, so get off Adam for doing something different.

Oh, and the "I LOVE gays, but they're all queer" comments sounds like a dyed-in-the-wool faghag to me

I have not, nor will I ever hate Johnny Cash. But no, I didn't like his version of Hurt. But with that said, I don't care for the original version either.

Ummmm, sheep? Pretty sure mainstream America HATES this guy....

Some of us are just ready to get away from the bubblegum pop and bullshite that fills the airwaves today. At least this guy is different, takes the stage with confidence and has control and command over his own vocal chords.

Why is that people who don't like Adam Lambert are called homophobes? It seems his fan base gets very defensive when anybody is critical of him.

because they always have to throw in some jab about his sexuality

agree 100%. I hated Cash's version of U2's One, but i love Cash's music. that being said Cash was definitely out the box and would have been the first one to stand up and applaud after adam's version

Sorry, you failed that question

Oh no, what the frick shall i ever do? B/c that wasnt' a serious answer. It seems your fear of being wrong is not letting you see it objectively

So what if Clay Aiken, Lance Bass, or George Michael aren't flamboyant enough for you, everybody knows they're gay. So what if they're not acting like the B-52's, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, etc.

Besides, this:

I don't really think they're dressing up as girls on stage

could be debatable.

I actually really liked Cash's version. I thought it was very different than the original, but still good in its own right. I just find it amazing that people were that upset that Adam totally changed Ring of Fire when Cash had done the same thing to another song. I never really watched until this year, but I don't remember people bitching and moaning when that beat box guy completely redid "Shot through the Heart."

I'm guessing you never did real well on the reading comprehension part of standardized tests.

I never said "Adam was so awesome, Trent Reznor was copying his style." I just said they are similar. Reznor is obviously light years ahead of Lambert as far as an accomplished musician.

Meh, I think he and Allison are leaving everyone else in the rearview mirror at this point.

Adam didn't change Ring Of Fire. He copied it from another reality singing show.

Adam, who happens very similar in style to Mulit Platinum Recording Artist Trent Reznor. I would have comprehended that much better.

You're talking about Dilana. I'm fairly certain she got that version from somewhere else. Besides, he even said on the show that he had gotten the arrangement from somewhere else.

Yes...He did say that and I don't fault him for copying the song the way Dilana did it. It was country week and he knew he would flop doing it any other way. My problem is that the judges and so many other people gave him credit for changing up the song. Making him sound like it was his original idea. At least with Blake, it was all his.He took a cheesy hair metal song and totally made it his.

I have to agree with this. Dude has serious talent. I like how he turns each song into his own unique spin and pulls it off. My only complaint is that he pulls the "Look how high my voice can go" card too much.

That is what I hate about him the most! It has nothing to do with him being a queen. I thought he was great when he did Tears Of A Clown because he didn't do it as much.
