Man I just can’t disagree more.
I just caught episode two and my goodness my wife and I both legit cried three times.
The girl that lost her sight due to a tumor, the young man with Cystic fibrosis that Luke performed with for his Make A Wish (and gave him his freakin guitar), and MY MAN ALEJANDRO (remember the name!!!) were all absolutely outstanding and the judges were totally moved and celebrate these young artists as the stars of the show (and maybe more in the future).
Man, Alejandro was incredible. Even Luke, who may actually be my favorite judge ever, said he had never seen ANYONE do what he just watched him do with a guitar. Just phenomenal.
Did anyone get the sense that he could have been autistic?? The way he looked away and down when he was talking to them or smiling, I really do think he is some kind of savant.
Im very interested/excited to see how he handles all of this going forward because he is such a unique talent.

I think they've got a killer top 20 this year...

How do you guys feel about laine. I feel like they are trying their hardest to make sure he makes it.

Definitely trying to throw in another heartthrob in for sure... his growling just turns me off on him.. I haven't ever been a fan even since last year.
to be honest.. I could've done without both Lousiana baws in the top 20 there at the end and replaced that final slot with someone else.

by the way.. if you have Spotify ( not sure about apple music as I don't have that ) .. his channel is under his artist name "Scarypoolparty" and it has his original songs " Out loud" and " 10 years" both of which he has performed on the show

It really is. The big guy, Alejandro, laine so many good guys. I’m not so sold on the females just yet except the heavier high school girl.

If I remember correctly, in the audition episode didn't Alejandro mention he'd only been playing for 3-4 years?? That just makes his talent even more incredible

Yes and that's just not fair.
For the females, I LOVE Ashley Hess, Cate Barnett, and Raghu. I could take or leave the others.
Another thing i love about this group is there isn't anyone i just despise. Last season I fricking HATED Gabby Barrett. She was beyond faaaaaake and i fricking hated it. There's no one like that this year for me.

Alejandro, Big dude (Wade), and Laine are easily the top 3.
The girls are weak in comparison to these three.
I really can see Wade having a monster studio career. Alejandro is still probably the best I've ever seen. It's unfortunate cuz I really like Laine. He has improved so much and is great in his own right.

Idc as long as they don't touch my top 3.
It's really one of the most talented groups of idol I have ever seen.. but Alejandro is still in another league. He just has it. I think he said he started playing music at age 20, which is just insane. It just goes to show he has insane talent.
I actually would be okay if they cut more girls than guys.

These are the ones I can't wait to see every week. I'm shocked how much a like Uche considering I thought his audition was god-awful, but he is amazing on stage with a band.
