guy was engaged but she got in a wreck 2 wks (i think) before the wedding. she wasn't supposed to make it but has brain damage and her face is deformed now. he stuck by her thru it all. she was there in a wheelchair, hard to watch.

Sad story at the end last night.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the judges. I still miss Simon, but the new panel actually does a really good job. Tyler is comedic relief and Lopez is a smarter version of Abdul.
The individual contestants will carry this show after the first 6 weeks, but that first 6 weeks relies on the judges.
I didn't think the new panel would be able to carry the show with Simon, but I think they'll be alright.

Agree. Im would have loved to see Tyler and Lopez with Simon. That would have been money. Randy is trying to fill the role of mean judge a little, but that's not his thing.
