Anyone have any guesses as to whether this family will still be around for next season or not? I'm having my doubts that they will make it. We may have another family move in next year. I'm guessing Constance is the only one alive (other than a Satan baby) at the end of this season.

I dont think they even know how they are going to translate this to another season.

You could see a completely different story with new characters.

I agree totally. A major part of the show has been introducing new ghosts and how they became part of the house. And it seems there is already an inordinate amount of ghosts in the house as is. I can't even see how they could keep it going by just having the family become ghosts in the house and introducing new owners and additional ghosts.

I expect an entirely new cast, different setting, and maybe a completely different premise. I don't think it will even be a haunted house type scenario, just a totally different direction.

They left those options very open by namin the show "American Horror Story"

It literally could be a completely different horror show.

I think that might turn out better than trying to keep these characters and plot in it (even though i love the characters and plot).

What makes the show is how every episode some of the mystery or motives is revealed about the ghost. Eventually that will run out, so i think they would have to start fresh. I wouldn't want that task of replacing this cast and story line.

And maybe leave a small tether to the original story to act as a segue to the new one. That way it can all be a story.

I think it'd be interesting to have 1 main story a season. Hmm.

I honestly think this is what they will do. It'll be really hard to make this same story interesting for two seasons.

That seems to be the only realistic option. It is hard to imagine almost completely new characters for every season.

I agree...Maybe throw it back to Constance growing up in Virginia and explain her sinister disposition.

what are the words you hear faintly in the background of the opener? can't quite make them out.

No Hayden this episode. What becomes of the bug guy? Another ghost to haunt the place? And why doesn't Ben miss him? He's supposed to be getting back to Ben with an estimate.

The next two episodes are probably all on the same day or something like that or Violet says something about him

Itll be interesting to see mr Hamons reaction when he wakes up from the Tate beating and drugging

I think you might be on to something here. I'd like to know more about her myself.

I think any plot conflict of this sort can be covered by saying the house has an affect on their clarity of thinking, keeps them in a trance of sorts.

Mainly...the fact that he got attacked and nearly killed, while his (dead) daughter is also in the house. He's got a few more important things going on than worrying about getting an estimate from a bug guy.
