i like the part in the beginning where lucas is like "man there's just not any food here i have to leave" then at the bottom of the screen it says "Indians have lived in this exact same spot utnil 1935" lol basically calling lucas a little bitch lol

i think lucas downfall will be all his pet projects. that's energy and while it's neat and shite all that can be towards getting food

at the end of the day it's who can get food and who can secure food the easiest. I still think alan is the most resourceful in this regard and will win out. barely.

by with that said i could see mitch winning it still. he has the right mindset; this is for your family. this is how you provide for them, etc.

Mitch has the right mindset, but his lack of a good shelter and food will do him in.

Those "Indians" lived in a tribe. They weren't alone. I didn't see it as disparaging at all.

Lucas has definitely moved up the ladder. Personally think he needs to work on some food sources not requiring the boat. Mitch is so calm and internally seems to have the right make up but he just cant make enough luck. Sam just seems so close to calling it a day. His shelter sucks, his food sources suck but here he is, chugging along. Alan still seems to be the one to beat but the gap has closed. Id like to see him embark on another project.. The previews didnt seem to good either.

I just can't believe he's staying sane on a 30 kcal mouse every two days. I wish we could see more of what goes on during the three days they blow through while Lucas makes a ukulele.

That's a good over/under. But I'm thinking more like 90. From a tv production standpoint 90 doesn't make sense. But lets say two drop out during next weeks episode. That episode might cover two weeks. The a couple more episodes with just two guys and they'll blast through the days.

I really have no idea. This show fascinates me.

I couldn't believe how much thinner he is when they showed the footage from before he left. I know they've all lost weight but his is dramatic.
Alan's fish and duck meal looked awesome.

Sam's just lucky he was fat before he left. Mice for food isn't going to work much longer. Alan is still my favorite but i think he might just say "yep nothing left to prove im going home." If Mitch finds a food source soon He probably has the strongest will to out last everyone else. He seems like the type that would take his 500K and live off it for the next 20 years, happily. Can't make myself like Lucas, don't know why.

Team Alan the rest of the way.

Now that this season has been airing, I really hope the people for the next season have the ability to watch before they go out wherever the next location will be. Certainly much of the bush craft has to crossover. And I'm interested to see just how well or poorly the next seasons of contestants apply the skills.

I'm actually good with the 4guys remaining. None have had an easy ride, all are earning it and all are likeable.

Alan and Lucas are my frontrunners. You can't help but like Alan. He's a Jack of all trades. Lucas is a creative hard worker. Enjoyed this season.

I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but binged it after talking with my sister and BIL. My sister apparently works with someone related to the Lucas guy. So she was telling me all about how he was on the show, what his background was, etc.. Made me watch (I hardly ever catch shows like this if I can't stream the whole season).

Because of that, I've always kind of paid attention to him the most. the Alan guy seems like he's settling in the best and reminds me of a "good ole' boy", but he just isn't as entertaining to watch for some reason. Not that being the most entertaining is the point.

Looks like 2 tapout this week. I'm pulling for Alan, but think he and Sam are tapping out this week.

Spoilers -

Very surprised by Lucas & Mitch giving it up. Hope Alan hangs in there and takes it, but he seems to be at a stage where he feels he has nothing left to prove. I don't see how Sam is making it with virtually no food.

Both have no quit in them (right now).

Looking forward to season finale next week.

Kudos to Sam. I have no idea how he's still there. Really shocked by Lucas.
