Coming over from the Saving Private Ryan thread...
Edward Burns (the big soldier with Brooklyn written on his jacket, basically the only guy besides Ryan to survive the final fight). For a few years I thought that guy was Ben Affleck, then one day I looked at the cast and realized it wasn't.
SPR was 1998, this was a big, handsome dude who seemed to have some charisma onscreen. Would've bet money that he would become a major star, a headliner that studios would bank on.
