Didn't know there was a Von Erich movie in the works. Tragic family story but will watch.

Yeah it seems like this has been in production for 3 or 4 years. I'm looking forward to watching this

Most of it was filmed in Baton Rouge - covered multiple times on this site - had friends play extras, early screenings were so-so but they are still editting.

Film is still being edited - they just want to release it before year's end for award consideration.

If sad means it stays away from A LOT of the actual facts, then yes... unless they make lots of changes from the test screening.. Chris Von Erich isn't even in the movie.

There's been multiple scripts for years for a Von Erich movie, Kevin would always say no.. he moved back to Texas from Hawaii and I believe will help promote this one, so come to your own conclusions

I will too, all four of the actors playing the brothers were said to be good in their roles - lots of revisionist history though

saw it today ... much like The Bikeriders, it was more style than substance. And the sadness felt hollow for some reason. Decent, but disappointing and IMO not a contender for awards (which A24 is hoping for)
