Really though, over a year ago I was Googling a topic and somehow ended up on the site. I've been lurking ever since.

I wondered the same thing, but the fear Azan projects at bed time has convinced me it's an avoidance mechanism. LOL

I know the afghans I've encountered made direct eye contact but they were all guys.

I agree with it being a cultural thing for the most part. Nicole's disregard and lack of respect for Azan's culture was painful to watch at times. I guess because I'm disgusted with her, I think Azan should be too and should therefore make an informed decision to avoid eye contact with Nicole at all costs.

Yes I was there in 2013. thank you, it is the people in this country that make it great.
