I wasn't even born yet when this occurred, so I obviously didn't know or watch the impact he had. I just had both my parents over the years tell me how funny and awesome he was, and how millions would turn in to end their nights to watch his show like you said. I'd sometimes watch some of the DVDs of old shows he did with my parents over the years and I get what people see in him. Dude had an impact on millions of lives and it's crazy it's been this long.

Trump wasn't the cause, he was a symptom. . .and also gas on the fire
He was wrapped into the meme war that was already ongoing. Most of the influencers that went in on Trump were already engaging in the culture war with Gamergate
