That guy he saved is Sicilian. Wonder if there will be a Mafia angle

Duttons and mafia vs the rich guy, bronn and their army?
Posted on 3/2/25 at 8:13 pm to MorbidTheClown
Bootlegging apparently.

This episode had so many eye rolling moments I don't know where to start. He hook up with a prog or something?
Sheridan well on his way to ruining this show which started out pretty well.
*Mamie Fosset was a paper pusher, not a bad arse Marshall putting prick, misogynistic Marshalls in their place. I'll leave it at that for now.

Yeah, that seemed out of place.
Hmm.... interesting idea. Suppose he helps the Mafia I mean bootleggers get set up in Bozeman. That could yield some interesting protection.

These characters can be mind numbingly stupid
Spencer beating up his grateful host for no reason in the lobby
Jacob going out in the blizzard
Landman daughter slut, screaming not to get the rabies shot
Just fricking idiots this episode
And why was the chicken coop a car’s ride away from the house?

was kind of thinking she might be pregnant and didn't want to risk it. But, then she said she just wants to leave.

You got points on the others but this I believe is because they couldn't stay in town once he took responsibility for Zane and his family. The judge mentioned they wouldn't be allowed in town.

Cara is the only one that is solid. She's literally the cement holding the family together.
I can forgive Spencer's actions a little bit. That dude's been through some tough times and he's acting on desperation to get home and find his wife. He still fricked up.
Yeah, Jacob messed up bad on the blizzard.
Elizabeth, after being shot and nearly mauled by a mountain lion, should have figured out to take a buddy with you anytime you travel outside. The ranch is literally under siege from wild animals. She could have at least carried a pistol. Granted, she's a city girl but at some point the damsel in distress is wearing thin. Even Monica was able to nut-up when needed.
If you think about it, the Dutton patriarchs haven't been the sharpest knives in the drawer over the generations. They all seem to think being the toughest cowboy is all it takes to be the best. As Beth said, that family could have monetized that area in such a way that the Yellowstone protected.

We did learn how he begins to get his ranch hands.....by taking in the outlaws and giving them a place to stay

Sheridan has no clue on rail routes. You didn't, and don't, go to Grand Central to go to Philly. You had to go to Penn Station which was the Pennsylvania Railroad's terminal. Grand Central, where she was, was the New York Centrals NY terminal.
The NYC's mainline to Chicago went north up the Hudson to Albany and then turned west. Known as the Water Level Route.
Saying she has to go to Boston is ridiculous as both the NYC and Pennsy had direct routes to Chicago.

I get that Alexandra had to go through some trial when she arrived in the US to add drama, but man, they made Ellis Island out to be hell on Earth. Sure, we didn't allow sick individuals to just hop off the boat, so a physical examination would be neccessary. Free, hot meals were served 3 times a day. Millions were allowed entry. Hated to see the process portrayed as humiliating and cruel.

The show sucks.
Everything this guy writes is always on the trajectory of starting out semi interesting, and then going downhill fast.
...and it appears he's a real pervert also.

Eh I don’t know about sucks…. Most of what’s going on in Montana and Spencer and Alexandra’s journeys are interesting.
Could not give less of a frick about the priest tracking down Indians.

I thought the episode was good and intense. Traveling back then was hardly easy or convenient. I thing first 3 episodes good start.

Yeah, this one was much better than the previous episode. Far from perfect but enjoyable.
Question is, will the Mob be chasing after Spenser for abandoning the booze and allowing Guido Jr. to be mowed down by the Feds?
Probably.
*If I never saw another Indian, or the guys chasing the Indians, on this show it would be an improvement.

I would guess we have definitely not seen the last of the Italian family.

Great episode. I loved how they stuck with the characters for long periods rather than skipping around. The Indian stuff felt more like a palette cleanser. The cliffhanger from this episode was a bit weak though. I think they would've ended with the agents killing the brother if the family is going to come after Spencer.
We've visited Ellis Island so I was excited to see them go that route was Alex. TS took things a bit too far which soured everything about that plot point.

Currently it’s hot as hell in Texas but extreme blizzards in Montana
