I go back and forth about that.
A young idealistic person can be forgiven for the naivete.
A person of at least average intelligence? Not unless they've never been around people on subsidized food and housing. You have to eventually see this perpetuates poverty and hopelessness.
The problem is people feel good saying they are helping poor people even if they are destroying them.
