Zion, out and not exercising, reinjures what was originally a three week timeframe

Pelicans All-Star Zion Williamson – sidelined since Jan. 2 with hamstring strain – re-aggravated the injury and is expected to miss additional weeks after All-Star break, David Griffin says.
This puts him out for most of February, looking at a 6-8 week timeline
At what point do you shut him down to get in shape for next season?

factually incorrect... when the injury originally happened they said he would be reevaluated in 3 weeks... not that he would return in 3 weeks
(at that 3 week reevaluation they said he was progressing as expected and would be reevaluated 2 weeks later... which brings us to now)
quite frankly the team has never said a timeline for his return... and still hasn't as of this update... just that he will be reevaluated after the all-star break and is expected to miss multiple weeks post-ASB
The team never said he was expected back 3 weeks after the initial injury

I’m fed up with him. But the headline of the OP is false.

He's the Michael Thomas of the Pelicans..

You think this is his fault?

Matter of fault is irrelevant. He never plays. At this point he’s missed like 70% of his career and has a max contract.
It’s ok for a fan to be frustrated and question whether a notoriously out of shape players injuries are his fault.

Someone wake me when this guy becomes a consistent, productive player. LOL.

You being fed up with him over something that likely isn’t his fault is stupid.
Pelicans “fans” have become the worst part about being a Pelicans fan.

This is a bad take. That being said, they need to evaluate their training staff in the offseason.
