This thread is proof when you think you know something and are an authority on a subject, maybe you should read and educate yourself before you comment so you don't look so ignorant and uneducated...Just sayin...

Arod has long had a reputation as a cheater with a taste for stipper whores and disregard for his dong ala Tiger Woods.
I agree with you and know you meant others not my post. Hamilton's recovery is a great story of triumph. He was one of those rare people that had a deep physical and psychological addiction to the depths..absolute bottom..and longterm.

Yep. Aroid is a class act himself....Not. Roar, you are right, it was not intended for you at all. That shite pisses me off when people start talking about choices with addiction. I have taken care of alot of drug addicted people, etoh as well. He did not want to be an addict and lose his money , life , and health. His book is amazing. He has become a good citizen, and gives back. It shows no matter where you come from, it can happen to you. But, you can beat it.

So my point is correct in that there are only yankee game threads when they are winning
They had the second best record in baseball - 1 game from the best. They were winning the whole year. What the f... are you talking about?
Oh yea. You're the bandwagon guy, too, aren't you. What the f... does that mean and who cares. Who says you have to be born in a team's city to pull for that team? Gee, the poor people in Montana, or Idaho, or Wyoming (or the other 100 places that don't have teams) can't root for any teams or they risk being ridiculed by a dolt like you who doesn't have anything else to say.
If you don't have something decent on topic to add, go put out the garbage or check the air in your tires, things you might be good at.
Now back to the OP. I think the pressure has swung toward being on the Rangers. I know they think they have Lee as a security blanket, but if Hughes can rebound from his bad game and the Yankees win game 6, I like the Yankees chances in game 7, even against Lee. Pettitte is money and most all of the Yankees have been there before - several times.
And, this may be blasphemy, but Teixeira's going down may not hurt the Yanks as much as some expect. I know they will miss his defense bigtime, but he is really off at the plate. And with him out, Cano gets to hit in front of Arod, which makes him even more productive.

He didn't want it but his actions and choices led to it. Nobody tied him down and made him start doing drugs. I'm supposed to be inspired that somebody stopped doing drugs? I'm supposed to be inspired that somebody completely fricked up their life then stopped being a frick up? Give me a fricking break. Hamilton fricked up his own life, nobody else. He isn't a hero for cleaning up his own shite.
I guess Arod, Bonds, McGwire, etc are all inspirations as well because they stopped using illegal drugs.

The Giants-Rangers World Series is going to be interesting. Anything is better than seeing the Yankees again. I don't hate the Yankees, but I'm gonna hate anyway.

That's a fair criteria. Born and raised in NY area with both my parents being from Long Island. Yankees, Giants, Knicks and NY Rangers fan until I gave up on the NHL.

I work in midtown and grew up a Mets fan. But I want the Yankees to win. I may work 6 blocks from the Garden but I root for the Devils and Nets.

I was once upon a time a Mets fan but I want all the NY teams to win. Especially now more than ever, the Devils. I was at one of the Bon Jovi shows to open the Prudential Center and saw all the Devils championship banners and realized that all I got out of the Rangers was 1994. I don't think I can go back to being a Mets fan until the Wilpon's sell the team. I'm also an Auburn grad and they've given me enough heartache over the years so I don't need the Mets.
