Freddy Garcia (10-7, 3.22)

Brett Gardner LF
Derek Jeter SS
Curtis Granderson CF
Mark Teixeira 1B
Robinson Cano 2B
Nick Swisher RF
Eric Chavez DH
Russell Martin C
Eduardo Nunez 3B

vs

Josh Beckett (9-4, 2.20)

Boston lineup TBA

Quick note:

quote:

Joe Girardi had a conversation with Jorge Posada this afternoon, telling Posada that the Yankees are going with their best lineup and Posada’s at-bats could diminish. Posada had already fallen into a platoon situation at DH, but it now seems that Girardi prefers to have both Eduardo Nunez and Eric Chavez in the lineup against right-handers.

“We’re going to see how this works,” Girardi said. “We’re going to try some different things. We’ll see how this works, and I told Jorge, ‘You’re still going to be a big part of this, and we’re going to need you. We’re just going to do some different things.’”

per LoHudBlog

Oh, and Phil Hughes is listed as an available reliever.

Pretty sure I never predicted CC to smoke Lackey at all. I admit I predicted CC and the Yankees would win, but in this rivalry, I will never predict one team will absolutely dominate the other.

Fair enough. No need to be so serious. The sox have the better team. It's ok though. Winning from the wild card is done all the time.

Wasn't trying to be serious really.. just stating my opinion.

Overall.. yes, the Sox do have the better overall team.

Rotation: Sox by a tad
Lineup: Sox
Bench: Sox
Bullpen: Yankees

Still pissed at the Yankees ownership for getting Soriano.

Cashman was actually correct in that situation by wanting to stay away from him.

Looking forward to the game. My AC went out, it's been a miserable day. The Sox/Yanks game will pass the unbearable time for me tonight.

I'm always confused by your av/sig images.

Are you a Sox fan or Tribe fan?

I am a Sox fan, but I am a "Major League" fan, so I kinda root for the Indians to do well. I was kinda pissed they lost the series to the Marlins.

Gotcha

I had an Indians hat when I was younger that I used to wear all the time to baseball practice. Still have it somewhere.

The best thing about the movie was the yanks were still the bad guys.

My brother in law is a huge yank fan. He took my sister to a game at the new stadium last year. I give my nephew Sox jerseys for Xmas every year. My brother in law can't stand it.
