Stoops and Pep are the only one that come to mind.
Anyone else wish the double forward pass was utilized more often?

Because up and coming coaches aren’t risking their career to leave the NFL or college for an experimental league.

I don’t think the Joe Brady’s of the world would
But I would’ve liked to see them pair up these HCs with young guys from the CFL or high school coaches that have really crazy philosophies (like the guy who never punts) and just go out there and really try some shite out and see what sticks
It’s crazy that we’ve only seen like 3 double forward passes in the league so far and one was accidental. Imagine how many times a guy like Josh McDaniels or Sean Payton would dial that shite up if the NFL made it legal
At the very least these geezers need an analytics guy in their ear telling them why they shouldn’t be punting here or what conversion to go for

I’m pretty sure college coaches make more than these guys so why would anyone leave college or the nfl to coach in the xfl?

There are also bright and innovative college coaches at lower divisions. Many of them would jump at the opportunity.
A new league isn’t going to take many chances. The safe move is to hire veteran pro coaches. Plus they have name recognition. Stability and legitimacy are probably more important right now than taking a chance on a home run hire.
There are a lot of young position coaches and other staff members in the league. I have no idea if they are any good, or being groomed to take over in a couple of years once the dinosaurs retire again after the league gets established.
