President has absolutely zero responsibility here. Dude needs to shut the frick up and roll back government overreach, not overreach himself.

What do you think he and DOGE have been doing? Even with judicial activism some of the rulings are too late to stop large cuts that have already happened and most will be won on final appeals. Regulating commerce between the states is an explicit constitutional power and duty of the federal government.

The real problem is congress not doing enough to put some of the EOs hard coded into law and closing any loopholes Dems used in their EOs when running executive branch. This could also be a problem if this EO seems like it could be a workable solution.

Congress should be doing something with judges using a more than 100 year old law that changing rules that were allowed across 2 centuries of college sports to make these decisions instead of the legislative branch or the executive using existing authority granted in laws or the constitution. All the NIL crap started with a decision that didn’t actually rule on NIL but on limiting educational benefits with a brief mentioning of NIL by one concurring opinion on the main decision. Now one district court judge is overseeing the creation of a huge revenue sharing program with varying amounts paid based on the sport and caps. as a judicially created pseudo law for past, current, and future players and universities across all sports and across the entire nation.
