Northwestern's Nov. 7 game against Wisconsin will not take place at Chicago's Wrigley Field, as originally planned, the Wildcats said on Wednesday.

Northwestern said the game has been postponed. However, a school spokesman said that if the schedule holds and the game remains on Nov. 7, it would be played at Northwestern's Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois.

I’ve been to the Pinstripe Bowl a couple times. I liked it.

The San Francisco Baseball Giants stadium is the only good MLB field to host an NCAA football game imho. That bowl game they played there and that one ND vs Stanford game there was ok.

The Wrigley game in 2010? Was so fricking stupid.

NW vs. Illinois it was like playground football make up the rules.

One end zone was so dinky they decided both teams could only score in one end zone so the entire game night was like OT rules and I think both teams just started at the 50.

Just a gimmick game. Almost as bad as that Nascar game, at least the people at Wrigley could see the action without telescopes.

No sir I was not physically in attendance but it looked symmetrical on TV imho not like Candlestick Park used to look or how the Pinstripe Bowl looks. Those football games on those MLB fields look out of place big time. I can’t post pics to try and help my argument so I’ll stfu if you’ve physically been to one of those games.

They didn't start at the 50. They did swap the field on every offensive possession due to the low clearance between East end zone and the outfield wall. Defensive touchdowns could still be scored in the East end zone, but offensive plays (i.e. where you can expect the receiver to have to take a hit near the back of the end zone) took place facing West.

Only defending the game because of one unbreakable record: Mikel Leshoure - Most rushing yards in a single cardinal direction (330 yards).

I was thinking about that game when I read this... how they had to have all offensive possessions go the same direction due to one endzone being too cramped.

Sucks if you had seats on the wrong endzone.
