Why would he have connections with UT? Is he a closet longhorn fan? I would think he would have inside sources with Lsu, not UT

He lives and works in Houston

Oh I was not aware that Texas football moved to Austin. That is like someone claiming connections at LSU because they live in Lake Charles.

Texas missed their shot when they wouldn't make Mack Brown leave years ago. There is bad blood between Muschamp and Texas.

Im not saying he has connections or not, but it's easily possible that by living and working in Houston that he has indeed acquired some connections. And, I'm not saying he's walking around with tigerdroppings credentials, but that also may put him in a certain circle.

I doubt he leaves. He grew up in Gainesville, and Foley is willing to match anything to keep his coaches around.

Plus, Muschamp wasn't expected to have UF going 11-1 in his 2nd season. I live in Gainesville, and most around the program thought it would take at least 3 season to recover from the mess that Urban left the team in.

So right now, I'd be willing to bet, Foley would do anything to keep him here with the job he has done.

9-3 next season, looking at the schedule, isn't exactly a dud for Muschamp given the players leaving on defense, and the fact that most impact players on offense will be freshmen.

Would be a pointless, lateral move and he's already building something at UF.

Would you make a lateral move for a significant pay raise?

UF can pay him whatever he would get from Texas, and then some.

WM isn't a DeLoss type. He likes the good ol' boy type of coach. Those 2 guys wouldn't mesh very well.
