Lol don’t kid yourself, Cam is QB1 right now for the Panthers.

Which is why they're trying to get rid of him.

Panthers Moving on from Cam

Twitter was throwing up an ad in my timeline in which Colin Cowherd was making the same argument. I deleted that with the quickness. Must be making the rounds among shitty, slightly racist talk radio hosts.

No they wouldn’t, but that’s not what the tweet says

You’re not giving up your starting QB AND the best back in the league for an unproven rookie QB.

They aren’t.
The tweet says 7th overall pick and CMC
They’re moving on from Cam during the offseason anyway

Cam has little value. rbs have little value. does the first pick in the draft sound like little value?

The Bengals already have a good RB, so if anything, they would likely try to package Burrow/Mixon for CMC/More Players/Picks

But none of this is going to happen anyway

One of the worst thought out questions turned thread I’ve ever seen.

Spinoff: What XFL team will Cam lead to the championship next season after he decides to leave the NFL rather than play for the Bengals?

Not really a hot take imo

Agreed. Young is the most sure fire starter day 1 of those 3, and if you are a GM looking to draft an edge rusher you can look at what the Bosa boys are doing and kind of just say "well Young was as good as both of them in college"

It's not guaranteed to work out but he is more likely to be a pro bowler faster than either QB

Zero chance the Panthers do that. Hell zero chance the Bengals offer that

McCaffrey is a proven NFL badass.

Burrow had 1 1/2 good years in college, never know what type pro he will be.

No freaking way Carolina entertains this nonsense

As a Saints i sincerely hope this is the case. Anyone that would NOT make the trade because of a freaking RB

And that’s what the low IQ downvoters don’t understand. They’ve convinced themselves that Burrow is already an elite NFL QB

as if your opinion of Burrow is any less biased

What you don't get, it has nothing to do with Burrow. The Rams gave up 2 1st, 2 2nd and 2 3rd to get Jared Goff. The Eagles moved up from 8 to 2 to get Carson Wentz and traded 2 1st, a 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th.

IF the Panthers wanted to move up to #1 to take a QB and all it took the 7th pick and a RB that's about to get paid, they would be the biggest idiots of all time to pass that up.

Now if you don't like Burrow as a prospect, that's fine, if moved up to 3 to take Tua, the 7 and CMac would be a steal

ETA: Lets just ignore that Cincinnati has Joe Mixon

Just because the Eagles and Rams made mistakes doesn’t mean every franchise is dumb enough to make them.

QB is the last thing you bring in when you do a rebuild, not the first. The worst thing you can do to a rookie quarterback is put him behind a trash offensive line. If LSU fans really cared about Burrow’s future, they wouldn’t want him hyped up as the number one pick. You’d want him somewhere with a supporting cast like the Chargers, the Raiders, the Vikings, or hell even Dallas.

But the neckbeards in your fanbase don’t understand that and just want to chirp about having a number one pick ignoring that he will likely bust in Cincinnati.

But again, it’s going to be glorious for me to watch the melts and mental gymnastics. What’s even more fun is that he will be coming into the league the same time as Tua and some chickens will be coming home to roost when he pans out and Burrow flounders, but another day folks, another day.

And I still maintain Andrew Thomas should be the top pick in the draft.

Thats what I was thinking. A washed up qb and a great running back at the very end of his rookie contract? I don’t think that would be considered a serious offer for the number one overall pick. Cam is almost completely devoid of value at this point IMO.
