They didn’t have to schedule a home game for Atlanta today.

There's a huge difference between having the games on at Saturday compared to Sunday. Sunday always garners the highest ratings on TV while Saturday is usually the day with the lowest ratings. Put the Peach Bowl on at 7 PM EST and I bet the ratings would have been very good.

People are very used to watching CFB games on Saturday. It was NYE that brought it down.

As stated would've been a hard turnaround for the ground crew in ATL. Not to mention UCF and Auburn isn't gonna be a big rating game anyway.

Not sure of the downvotes. Until a week ago, there was supposed to be an NFL game tonight. Splitting ratings would've been dumb considering everyone is off tomorrow.
