Maybe you missed him give an ear full to his starting QB who had just come back from the locker room after getting xrays on his ankle. That's equates to "douche bag" in my book..

Maybe you missed him screaming and whining about the refs too.. did you even watch the damn game?

quote:

Pelini became angry at Martinez in the second quarter some time after his injury. It’s unclear why he got upset, but he got in Martinez’s face while he stood on the sideline and yelled for quite some time. At one point Pelini poked at his chest with a finger and a frame freeze from television showed him with his finger pulling at the collar of his jersey as Martinez stood motionless inches from his face.

The even worse one was throwing a flag for pass interference on A&M and then picking it up for some reason

I didn't think that was pass interference. Good pass defense as he made a play on the ball.

Although I didn't like 1 of the pass interfence calls, the only bad call imo in the LSU game was the personal foul leading with the helmet on LSU around the 5 yard line. No way Matthieu lead with his helmet.

Nebraska started with the ball at midfield 3 times and didn't score and had 2 turnovers. They also had over 3 minutes and the ball at the end. Good teams find ways to win, Nebraska is not a team that can overcome this.

I agree.. hard to whine about the refs costing you the game when you don't even score a TD. A&M would have a hard time complaining if they lost when they failed to punch it in from within the 5 yard line a few times and failed to score a TD also.

When you don't score a TD, of course calls will be important in determining the outcome of the game. These calls, IMO, were all legit penalties.. whether some penalties went uncalled is up for discussion I guess, but all that were called were legit penalties.

How many games have ever been played where there were 0 holding calls on one team?!

Didn't Bama go like 7 straight games last year without a holding penalty?

It started sometime last year and went to Penn State this year. Not sure the exact number of games.

The Nebraska chancellor thinks Pelini is a douche bag too. The clear conclusion here is that you, sir, are the one who is the idiot.

quote:

Perlman told The Associated Press on Sunday that Pelini's verbal assault of officials during Saturday's game at Texas A&M did not reflect well on the university or the football program.

The game was televised on ABC, and Perlman called camera shots of Pelini's outbursts "unfortunate." He said he, athletic director Tom Osborne or both of them will address the matter with Pelini. Perlman wouldn't speculate on whether disciplinary action would be taken.

The Cornhuskers were penalized 16 times for 140 yards in the 9-6 loss. Pelini was seen yelling at officials after many of the penalties, and he was called for unsportsmanlike conduct early in the fourth quarter.

Pelini also was seen ripping into quarterback Taylor Martinez.
