you're a smart dude...just make some adjustments... it seems that alot of the guys that had success in the live cash games when i first started out have trouble online...im not sure why..maybe cause you all are starting out on stakes that are too high..you have to remember the conversion scale.. 1-2 live = .05- .10 online 2-5 live = .10 - .25 (sometimes .25-.50) 5-10 live = .50-1 and up online
I just approach it like I need to have 200 times the small blind and play accordingly.

ive never seen a 1-2 game there,
It was awful. Right after they killed the 5-5 they went down to it. Took about 6 months but they brought it back up to 2-5 with a 300 max. That was pretty awful too

i can even remember you bugging the floor to start a 5-10 game one time
We tried to get this game going at least twice a week and I think I was succesful 3 times in 4 years.

You played in that game recently btw? My g/f is in BR this weekend for a friends birthday and I wanted to go primarily to see everyone at the Belle but I couldnt get off work. I'm curious to how the game is now

My boy Ronnie Bardah is still in it i talked to him last night.
I just realized who this is. I think he's the only person i've played with who talks as much as Monkey at the table.
ETA: maybe not quite to that level

Ronnie is a bit of a chatty Kathy but not like Monkey. I used to fricking hate Monkey till Smoke introduced me to him one night we were at Tao and found he is actually a cool motherfricker. It's funny cause on his fb page he pretty much quotes that that is how he has met about 90% of his close friends. All of them are people who hated him when they first met

yea...this past year ive been teaching my boss how to play poker..he's read every book under the sun..i started him out on sit n gos, he moved up to really low stakes mtt's, didnt like that, then shorthanded sit n gos and short handed cash, and found his niche..he is naturally really agro, so this is a good spot for him...
he came out to vegas with me this summer, and proceeded to almost take down a $300 ventian deepstack event(which was only his 3rd live event ever)...he was like "damn, i didnt realize how bad these live players are compared to online")..lol i was like, i told you so..
anyway, he has convinced me to go to the belle about 5 times in the past 2 months(which is more than ive been in the past 3 years.)
-what i saw:
many of the same people...spoon, the really quiet dude(with the long ratty hair) who always wears the fanny pack and never says a word, the old guy with the really white hair who's super agro-bad, didnt see mr frank, or mr. mike, but i did see them both leaving once. so i guess they still play there..

i never hated him, but i was often annoyed with the antics..
-i have been introduced to him/played same table a few times, and he talks to a bunch of my friends(bj, bg, smoke, etc.) alot, but i dont talk to him as much..
-i sat and had a few drinks with him and a few others once, and had a good time..he was much more mellow, and ok to be around..i just have this thing with people who are always trying to work an angle in everything they do..and he is one of those types imo..so, i make a point to never allow him to get too close..

Ya he is def a different person away from the table. Smoke knows him really well, they had a house together in Vegas either 05 or 06, can't remember. Those were some bad arse times. I blew through more money with those guys in 3 months than I currently make in 1 year

Dolan Misses Big Flop and Doubles Fernandez
Posted < 1 min. by donpeters
John Dolan and Jacobo Fernandez got all the money in preflop. Fernandez was the player at risk, all in for 425,000. He held the {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Dolan the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.
After the flop came down {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Fernandez needed to dodge a flush draw and straight draw to stay alive. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river the {2-Hearts} to miss all of Dolan's outs and doubled Fernandez back to 900,000. Dolan dropped to 2.7 million.

Monkey is a good guy if you know him but hes abraisive to lots. Hes on some medication now and he has chilled a good bit. That and the fact hes been banned from a hand full of casinos....
Ronnie on the other hand will chat and beat box and do little shite to aggrevate you but hes a cool guy to run around with. I enjoy chasing skirts with the guy and chilling when we arent playing cards and looking for shite to do in other cities....
