I’m not a big fan of MLS but when some of the games use to be aired on FOX, FS1, etc I would watch it at times. Now, you have to go through two paywalls to watch it and it’s not even worth it to try to watch it.

You should go back and look at the USMNT roster and see how many are from the southeast or played/trained with FC Dallas. Majority of them hail from New England area.

As far as the women's side, southern California teams are consistently winning the national championships in ECNL and Girls Academy. SOCAL is a breeding ground for female talent and has been that way for years.

It's starting to become more and more common. I think there are 5-6 mid-teenage girls playing in the league, 2 of them on San Diego alone.
