ok? So why even bring it up? You know what else every catholic league school does? Serve lunch! Really, I swear. I coach there now. Everyday around the middle of the day, they actually stop going to class and its like a freaking party for about 45 minutes! Catholic cheaters!

This is so typical for WM. I hate that school with every fiber of my body. Nothing makes me happier than when they lose.

So I guess you've only been really happy about 7 or so times since 1995. Guess its always easy to hate a winner.

Just got back from the Rebel Club luncheon. We watched some film from the Brother Martin game. On our last touchdown, our left tackle, number 68 made a good cut block on Brother Martin's number 35. 35 then proceded to throw about 4 or 5 left hooks into 68 ribs. When 68 got up to confront him about it, 35 ran to the sidelines like a pussy.
This was also the same play where Hendricks, our center, had his eyes gouged.

I actually didn't mind WM football until about 4 or 5 years ago. Then I was able to experience first hand what a douche Don Shows really is. I went to pay my respect to a fallen Marine, who also happened to play football at WM. I don't remember his name but I think he may have been a punter. Anyway, Don Shows gave a eulogy. While he was giving the eulogy, it was obvious he barely knew the kid and his message was not very heartfelt. But your douchebag of a head coach mentioned WM football no less than 5 times in his 3-5 minute speech. It was quite sickening to say the least. From that moment on I have not cared about WM football at all. So...Go St. Aug

I'll go ahead and tell you that you are dead wrong. I played at WM with that said Marine, and he was one of Shows' guys, and that Marine came back to WMHS on several occasions to work out while in college and the Marines. The fact that you are so off base is laughable. So how much does it say about you that you don't remember this Marines name. Much less that high school football and his home team obviously meant so much to him his High school coach was asked to speak at his funeral. Also, I was at that funeral, and heard the same speech, and couldn't disagree with you more. Maybe its because I knew their relationship and how that Marine felt about WM, and you did not.

I'm just going by what my gut told me about the eulogy. Shows didn't exactly move the place and to me it seemed like he barely knew him. I may be off base but that is just how I read him that day.
I didn't know the kid but as a Marine he was my fellow brother and I will always honor that. To me he was a Marine that payed the ultimate sacrifice, so it was the least I could do to pay my final respects to him.
Regardless of how you spin it, Shows is still a douche. Arledge should be getting all the credit for the success that Shows has had.

No doubt...great guy, and from what I heard, a great Marine. Not trying to call you out, but Shows really did like this guy and vice versa. I could see as an outsider how WM football could seem too important at sometimes, but some of the things a young man learns at WM carry us a long way, and I think that could be said about that Marine.

I'm sure it is this that I detest so much. And Shows is like Bud Kilmer. Anyways...good luck tonight.

It was either Matt Barnes or Lee Deal. WM has had two former football players slain in combat in the war on terror.
They were both loved and respected by Coach Shows and WM high school. And for you to call Coach Shows a douche without knowing him or his relationship with those players makes you the douche.

You didn't answer my question. Who told you WM left yesterday? The coaching staff was a Rebel Luncheon today. I don't think they would send the team down 3 day early without being with them. And I did see them practice at WM yesterday. Please inform us of your sources or did you see this for yourself?
