Championship windows come and go at the speed of light in the NBA and hiring head coaches without that defensive DNA is just suicidal for owners. And Michael Malone better get it figured out soon as well.
Coaching defense in today’s NBA is difficult.
Those teams also had to employ some terrible defensive players so they can keep up on offense. Pierce and Brooks seem like awful coaches though.
